NSW: Labor surges ahead in polls during bushfires

SYDNEY, Feb 20 AAP - The NSW government has increased its lead in the latest opinionpoll, with the recent bushfire emergency linked to the upward trend.
Released today, the Morgan Poll on voting intentions showed primary support for Laborincreased to 49.5 per cent, up 7 per cent since December, while coalition support plungedto 35 per cent, down 7 per cent.
Within the coalition, support for the Liberal Party fell 5.5 per cent to 32 per centand National Party support dropped 1.5 per cent to 3 per cent.
