NSW: Men swim ashore after being swept out to sea
Two men have swum ashore after being swept out to sea from Botany Bay.
Police say the men, aged 30 and 31, were separated from their red Kawasaki jetski nearKurnell at 4.40pm (AEDT) yesterday.
A police spokesman says the pair had been skin diving and were trying to retrieve adiving fin when they were pulled out to sea.
They were carried four nautical miles south to Bate Bay in 20 knot winds and seas containinga one metre swell.
Water Police were alerted to the missing men at 6.40pm (AEDT) and immediately searchedthe area, but both men managed to swim ashore at South Cronulla.
They were found by a local resident who contacted police, but their jetski was not recovered.
